I’m thinking about the ‘self’ that is often discussed when humanism gets brought up. I just did a quick Google search (highly experimental, obviously!) and found over 33 million books on ‘self’ help. When Allport and company are talking about the ‘self’ – are they talking about the same self as all of those books? Why or why not?
