In terms of our diets, without a proper diet we are putting the body at risk for infections, diseases, and forms of cancer. Eating is much than igniting our taste buds, but we are providing fuel for organs and tissues within our bodies. The number of vegans in the U.S. increased by 600 percent between 2014 and 2017 (Green Ralph, 2018).
For this assignment I need a trusted writer to review my discussion post for clarity and understanding. I need to
know if the document is clear and understandable. I have pasted the document below.
Veganism today
In terms of our diets, without a proper diet we are putting the body at risk for infections, diseases, and forms of cancer. Eating is much than igniting our taste buds, but we are providing fuel for organs and tissues within our bodies. The number of vegans in the U.S. increased by 600 percent between 2014 and 2017 (Green Ralph, 2018). After reading several articles on eating a plant-based diet, there are major advantages such as lower risk of cancer, increased bone health, protection against chronic diseases, and improved digestion. Below is a chart comparing the articles accuracy, honesty, and fairness.
After reading the articles, one article really stood out to me displaying unethical communication. The article “Vegans and vegetarians may think they’re ‘eating healthy’. They’re not” showed several examples of exaggerated claims and communication abuse. For example, the author states that as a physician scientist who has dedicated the past 50 years of his professional career to studying vitamin B-12, he knows that a deficiency can have serious and sometimes devastating health repercussions (Green Ralph, 2018). The author is referring to his experience to inform the audience that what he says is correct. The tone that’s being used causes the information to be misleading due to some possible personal feelings about the issue. Also, exploring only one of the issue displays the article as a personal motive driven. Vitamin B-12 can be found in B-12 fortified foods, such as fortified soy, seaweed, cereals, and nutritional yeast (Nordqvist Christian, 2017). The main issue is that the author is only expressing in-depth information on one side of the issue including possible exaggerated claims which is considered communication abuse.
