to familiarize yourself with the case study format and how to analyze case studies.
Read all module Learning Resources. Select one of the case studies from Chapter 3, Chapter 10, or Chapter 11 in the course text. After reading the case study, consider the questions that are posed at its conclusion, and read over the points for consideration in Appendix B that pertain to your selected case study.
Consider the various ethical paradigms discussed by the Shapiro and Stefkovich (2011) excerpts in the Learning Resources and how each relates to your selected case study.
Use Appendix A, Equity Literacy Case Analysis Worksheet as a guide to craft your Discussion post. Consider the following in relation to your selected case study:
Problem(s)
Various perspectives
Challenges and/or opportunities
Equitable outcomes
Short- and long-term responses
Plan of action
By Day 3 of Week 3
Post an analysis of your selected case study that:
Indicates the case study you selected and explains the problem(s) posed by the case. Support your response with specific references to your selected case study.
Explains the various perspectives, as well as the challenges and opportunities posed by the case study
Evaluates the ethical paradigm(s) explained by Shapiro and Stefkovich (2011). Which is most evident in your case study? Explain your reasoning.
Summarizes the equitable outcomes you imagined, and explain your plan of action that includes both an immediate response(s) and long-term implications
Support your responses with specific references to the Learning Resources, outside resources, and personal experiences.
