Week 6: Reflections on Diversity<br/>Introduction<br/>Reflection is
a critical part of the learning process, particularly when learning about issues that are as personally significant as those you have addressed in this course. This week, you will reflect on what you have learned, how you might apply your learning as a leader and an educator, and how you will plan to continue developing your diversity consciousness in the future.

Chapter 8 in your text provides an overview of leadership skills that are necessary in today’s diverse society.
Application Assignment: Plan for Development
For your final Application Assignment, you will reflect on what you have learned about your own diversity consciousness and diversity skills, and construct a personal plan for continued growth and development. You will also propose how you will work with others (colleagues, learners) to support their development of diversity consciousness and skills.
In 2 or 3 pages, address the following questions:
-What three specific strategies will you use in the future to support your own development of diversity consciousness and skills?
-What three specific strategies will you use in the future to support the development of diversity consciousness and skills in others, including your learners and/or colleagues?
-What concerns, if any, do you have about implementing this plan?
