What were some of the main challenges that physicists

What were some of the main challenges that physicists faced as they
entered the 20th century? not need answer for this is just the topic

I need an answer for this -> Another challenge I believe physicists face during the early 20th century was discrimination. When American Physicists saw the migration of German Physicists to the U.S., they wanted to help them. The saw the potential of having them aboard and wanted to help all their colleagues to find refuge and jobs.
However, due to prejudice against Jews, most universities did not welcome these physicists. In 1938, Samuel Goudsmit reacted to such immigration quotas and stated, “It is disgusting to notice that good students cannot find employment in America only because they happen to be Jewish.” (Cassidy, 2011, p. 61). Even after his complaint, those universities that accepted German Physicists only allowed a few. Age was also a fact of discrimination, but despite all the discrimination and economic challenges, many of them managed to find a job in the U.S.
