EN1320: Module 2 Shaping Ideas Essay 2.1 Drafting an Essay 1 Draft an essay based on a choice that you have made that has impacted your life in some way, such as purchasing a home, buying a car, or choosing a career. Utilize the prewriting developed for Lab 2.1 as you begin to draft or create a concept map and outline on the choice before drafting. Begin with an introduction that incorporates a grabber or hook in the first sentence and a thesis statement in the last sentence. Use the ideas generated in the concept map and outline to create the body of the essay in three well-developed body paragraphs. Be sure that each body paragraph includes a topic sentence, three supporting detail sentences, and a concluding sentence. Include clear transitions between the body paragraphs to connect the ideas together. Wrap up the essay with a concluding paragraph that leaves a lasting impression on the reader. Submission Requirements: Submit your responses in a Microsoft Word document with the following specifications: Font: Arial, 12-point Spacing: Double Format: APA with a title page and a header Length: 2–3 pages (excluding the title and references pages) Note: You will have three attempts to work on this assessment. The instructor will grade you on your first submission.
